Helly Hansen | Fred-Arne Danielson (NFH) (Director's Cut)

A 3 part documentary series for outdoor brand Helly Hansen. The campaign titled 'Heroes of the Unpredictable' follows 3 individuals who often have to face off against some of the harshest and most intense weather found on the planet. Their experience, knowledge and skill helps them to prepare for the ugly side of mother nature, and when the weather is at its worst, only the best equipment will keep them alive.

In this film we follow Fred-Arne Danielson, team leader of a search and rescue team in Senja, North Norway. The Norsk Folkhejelp, or Norwegian People's Aid is a volunteer service providing aid around the world. At home in Norway, they specialise in mountain rescue. Located in the Arctic Circle, Senja is the second largest island in Norway which harbours some extremely unpredictable conditions. In summer when the sun does not go down the team can search for 24 hours, but as a group of volunteers with day jobs, tiredness can lead to grave mistakes. Local knowledge of the area is fundamental when covering this much ground over such differing terrain. Although a potentially hostile setting, the island of Senja is one of the most beautiful and untouched, making it a growingly popular destination for tourists and adventurers.
